"ebuddy vs meebo" from my perspective Ü

try ebuddy, a dear friend of mine --> lulu Ü suggested. It was a busy afternoon and my meebo was having bad connections with msn service.. tried it out and it seemed nice Ü so i decided why not a mini like/dislike of the two service. btw, MSN problem was not solved =( after trying ebuddy probably bad connection or something...

to start if off, ebuddy and meebo are two online messaging service which, lets you access your YM, MSN, AIM, etc without the IM client. i must say that both are very very good =)

let's start with ebuddy:
things i liked:
- nice pop up interface which feels like a real IM client.
- loud beep when someone sends a message.
- nice emoticons which are similar to that of IM client.
things i disliked:
- slew of advertisements! its all over the place!
- no indicator that someone has messaged you, except for the initial loud beep.
- interface is kinda cluttered.

and meebo:
things i liked:
- no advertisements
- meebo account enables me to simultaneously login to all accounts in one go!
- you can preview messages received in the taskbar
- embedded on a page or pop out interface, your choice!
things i disliked:
- kinda soft beep whenever you receive a message
- one account for all means less customization i think...

in the end, it probably comes down to user preference, so try it out!... as for me i still prefer meebo. sorry lulu, anyways... i think i got to know both service through you.
