try ebuddy, a dear friend of mine --> lulu Ü suggested. It was a busy afternoon and my meebo was having bad connections with msn service.. tried it out and it seemed nice Ü so i decided why not a mini like/dislike of the two service. btw, MSN problem was not solved =( after trying ebuddy probably bad connection or something...
to start if off, ebuddy and meebo are two online messaging service which, lets you access your YM, MSN, AIM, etc without the IM client. i must say that both are very very good =)
let's start with ebuddy:
things i liked:
- nice pop up interface which feels like a real IM client.
- loud beep when someone sends a message.
- nice emoticons which are similar to that of IM client.
things i disliked:
- slew of advertisements! its all over the place!
- no indicator that someone has messaged you, except for the initial loud beep.
- interface is kinda cluttered.
and meebo:
things i liked:
- no advertisements
- meebo account enables me to simultaneously login to all accounts in one go!
- you can preview messages received in the taskbar
- embedded on a page or pop out interface, your choice!
things i disliked:
- kinda soft beep whenever you receive a message
- one account for all means less customization i think...
in the end, it probably comes down to user preference, so try it out!... as for me i still prefer meebo. sorry lulu, anyways... i think i got to know both service through you.

on job - ten ways to know that its time to go...
i've read this checklist from yahoo and found it interesting... let's see hehe
1. You start to dread Monday as soon as you leave work on Friday.
- ahmmm kinda, but i've always dreaded monday even when i was studying =P
2. It becomes more and more difficult to get up for work each day, and tardiness becomes a way of life.
- aha... i think this is me... i am starting to go to work late...
3. You cannot muster enthusiasm for anything related to work -- other than your paycheck.
- not really...
4. You spend most of your time complaining to colleagues or about your colleagues.
- yes i complain a lot recently... and i mean a lot =|
5. You act defensive and even hostile in company meetings when there's little cause for it.
- nah
6. You interact less and less with co-workers, shutting yourself away in your office and avoiding opportunities to socialize.
- i'm a natural loner, no question here
7. You've used up all your sick, personal, and vacation days -- and the year isn't even half over.
- leave is intact, guess i like my job!
8. You're constantly putting off until tomorrow what you could (and should) do today. When you do actually commit to doing your work, you feel resentful.
- nah
9. You're bitter about the company's success or that of a co-worker.
- why should i?
10. You have no professional goals related to your job, and you have a hard time even making some up at your obligatory performance review.
- oh yeah... i had a very hard time doing my objectives... its not even approved yet... sigh

dinner at the highlands steakhouse
a day before CHRISTmas, after the usual sunday walk through the malls (walk because we just look ... no buying =P) we decided to eat at best steakhouse in tagaytay highlands... the highlands steakhouse located at Mall of Asia.
what can i say... the food was great(i had a 7 oz primerib steak (14oz split into two persons with the side dish)... the service terrific... the ambience was beautiful... you got to try it :D (its kinda pricey though... well worth it i think Ü)

worst service ever!
we went to a fairly well known pizza parlor famous for their "thin crust pizzas" (should be easy to guess which pizza parlor it is with that clue =P) somewhere in rockwell. hey guess what, they have one of the worst service ever!
as we went in to the store... there were a few attendants no one greeted us. All the tables were dirty and we stand there looking like idiots for a looong time. If only my dad did not want to eat there we would have moved to another resto.
and so we were finally ... finally served (as if you call that service). to be fair the food came out fast, but then we had to call the waiter 5 times to ask for water and at the end, nothing came. we asked for the bill 5 times before it arrived... and we asked for toothpick 5 more times before it arrived, great ! really great service.
i really am not going back to that pizza parlor ever again! (well i guess the service is good in some other locations...)

something funny down there...
sunday... almost late for church... the usual rush to the toilet... rush wearing clothes... rush wearing my shoes... rush to church... and i still was unable to get to church on time.
upon getting back home, i felt something funny down there... crunchy/itchy inside my shoes... what could it be. as i eagerly took my shoes off.... A COCKROACH lol! my stinking feet probably killed it hahaha
now i aint gonna rush wearing my shoes no more =P
